Employed Mortgage Broker position within a forward-thinking broker based in Chelmsford. They always work with the aim of making the process of securing a mortgage and protecting loved ones as pain free and minimal cost as possible.
They specialise in homebuyers' mortgages, first time buyers, re-mortgages, buy to let mortgages, life cover & insurances
They are looking for a mortgage & protection adviser with 3-4 years minimum experience as a mortgage broker. The position is full time employed and office based, and are looking for a motivated, driven, and hungry individual to join their team
Mortgage Broker Position Overview
1. Full time, office-based position
2. Leads can be provided as the firm can provide a steady stream of this
3. The candidate must be able to bring in and provide some existing clients, so they are not reliant on provided leads
4. 40 hours per week 9am-6pm - Monday-Friday
Responsibilities include:
5. Client Consultation and Assessment - Conduct detailed consultations with clients to understand their financial situation, needs, and goals.
6. Mortgage Product Recommendation - Provide expert advice on various mortgage products and options
7. Loan Application and Processing: - Assist clients in completing mortgage applications
8. Liaison with Lenders and Real Estate Professionals - Maintain strong relationships with a network of lenders, real estate agents, and other industry professionals.
9. Negotiate terms and conditions with lenders to secure the best possible mortgage deals for clients.
10. Market Knowledge and Compliance - Stay informed about the latest mortgage products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
11. Customer Service and Relationship Management - Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive client experience throughout the mortgage process.
Mortgage Broker Position Requirements
12. Minimum of 3-4 years experience as a mortgage broker
13. Able to commute to Chelmsford, with the office in the city centre, and able to work full time in the office
14. Able to bring some existing clients over to the firm is preferred
15. CeMap qualification is preferred
Mortgage Broker Position Remuneration
The Employee will be entitled to an annual basic salary, which will be based on a 3 tier system as follows:
16. Tier 1: £23,000
17. Tier 2: £27,000 (achieved when 12-month net banked income exceeds £120,000)
18. Tier 3: £31,000 (achieved when 12-month net banked income exceeds £140,000
If a candidate is already highly experienced, they can enter on a higher salary
Commission payments are generated from the sales of mortgages, life assurance, Household and General insurance where relevant to the Employees status as an Independent Mortgage Adviser. The rate of commission payable on these is 12%. Additional advice fees (charged in line with the scale shown on the current Initial Disclosure Document) will be paid at 100%.
Bonus Scheme:
19. When Total income of £100,000 achieved = £1,500 bonus
20. When Total income of £120,000 achieved = additional £2,000 bonus
21. When Total income of £140,000 achieved = additional £2,500 bonus
Referrals to third party companies (such as Solicitors) that result in a payment post completion will be payable at a level of 50% of the net amount received.
Advisers receive 100% of the Advice fee (if charged)
