About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Datacenter Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain high-performance network infrastructure across our datacenter environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Arista, Fortinet, and Cisco technologies and must be based in the United Kingdom with the ability to travel to our Slough datacenter and Farnham office when required.
This is a long-term contract role with the potential for ongoing collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, deploy, and maintain datacenter network infrastructure
* Configure and manage Arista, Fortinet, and Cisco networking solutions
* Optimise network security, firewall policies, and access controls
* Troubleshoot complex networking issues and ensure high availability
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support HPE Virtual Connect environments
* Support Kubernetes networking for containerised infrastructure
* Perform onsite work at our Slough datacenter when required
Required Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in datacenter network engineering & design
* Strong knowledge of Arista, Fortinet, and Cisco networking platforms
* Expertise in firewall security, routing, switching, and high-availability configurations
* Experience working with enterprise-grade network infrastructure
* Ability to troubleshoot and optimise large-scale networks
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
* Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, NSE4+, or Arista ACE
* Experience with HPE Virtual Connect and HPE blade servers
* Familiarity with Kubernetes networking and cloud-native environments
* Strong understanding of network automation & scripting
