Job Summary: We are looking for a driven, energetic, independent and motivated PC Build Technician to be a part of our growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for building all client purchased PC’s, assisting in managing all incoming/outgoing client assets, and assisting the support team with tier 1 user support requests. This is a great opportunity for someone to start their IT career by learning the Abacus standard PC build process Responsibilities: Work alongside Platform Engineering team to utilise scripting and RMM tools to further automate and improve the PC Build process. Work with our Procurement Team to track delivered IT equipment to the Kent office Assist maintaining and organising client equipment. Work with our ticketing system (ConnectWise) to track PC build time and ensure a daily SLA time frame. Work from both an Abacus PC build checklist as well as any custom client checklists and attach to respective CW ticket. Manage/troubleshoot hardware issues (video cards, USB & peripheral devices and drivers). Reports directly to Engineering and Support managers, providing daily build ticket updates, and summary for all tickets completed and machines deployed at the end of the week. Provide a summary for all tickets completed and machines deployed to manager at the end of the week. Assist support team when time permits on tier 1 client support issues. Report to our Kent office Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Skills: Incredible sense of pride and passion for what you do and a desire to help your teammates. Basic knowledge of PC build process and the Windows Operating System. Excellent communication (oral and written), organisational, and time management skills. Ability to manage/troubleshoot hardware (video cards, USB & peripheral devices and drivers). Basic knowledge of Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines. Ability to assess and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage resources both laterally & vertically. Must be neat, organised, energetic, and show initiative. Ability to lift and work with heavy equipment up to 25KG (such as a UPS).
