Female* Mental Health Crisis Workers - Central, North and South teams
As our Mental Health Crisis Worker, you will be part of the Crisis Service working with and supporting men and women. This involves working with and alongside organisations within the Bristol Mental Health Partnership. This is a hub and bespoke service with a 24-hour hub (providing a full crisis service across the city). You will therefore be required to work on a rota system including regular evenings and weekend working and must be able to drive and have access to an appropriate vehicle. You will be based at either the Speedwell Centre (Central Crisis Team), Greenway Centre (North Crisis team) or Petherton Road (South Crisis team).
Main duties of the job
The role is focused on providing a range of interventions to assist with daily health, social care and wellbeing needs to reduce the crisis, build resilience and improve wellbeing. You will be employed by Missing Link and seconded into our Bristol Mental Health Partnership and will therefore be operationally managed by AWP.
Key duties and responsibilities of our Mental Health Crisis Worker:
1. Build trusting and collaborative relationships with the service user.
2. Work closely with carers, families, and other services directly involved with service users.
3. Adhere to Mental Health Bristol Partnerships policies, procedures, values, code of conduct, and current legislation using a Recovery-oriented, psychologically informed, equalities-based approach.
4. Co-produce, update, implement, and review a crisis plan, relapse prevention, and other self-management tools.
5. Implement the recovery plan and inform any review, working jointly with the Assessment and Recovery Team Recovery Navigator/Care Co-ordinator.
6. Coordinate support, refer, and liaise effectively with all professionals and agencies involved in service users' support.
7. Enable delivery of the crisis and recovery plans, maximizing service users' independence.
8. Provide specialist support to women using the service and advice to other team members regarding women's mental health issues.
9. Promote and facilitate service user involvement and inclusion within Mental Health Bristol and the community.
10. Manage caseload, documentation, and time effectively, ensuring up-to-date, clear, and accurate record keeping.
11. Collaborate with other team members to maximize service performance and meet targets.
12. Maintain hope and optimism for individuals with high expectations for recovery.

1. Experience working with people with mental health needs or complex needs (e.g., homelessness, alcohol/drug dependency).
2. Experience of support planning and managing risk assessments.
3. The ability to maintain hope and optimism for individuals.
4. A current, full driving licence and access to an appropriate vehicle is essential.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Numeracy and literacy to Supervisor/Manager level.
* A recognised qualification in a relevant field (e.g., DipSW, RMN, CPN).
* A current, full driving licence and access to an appropriate vehicle is essential.
Experience
* Significant experience working with people with mental health needs or complex needs.
* Proven experience of working with individuals with competing needs.
* Experience of delivering women-only services.
