We are actively looking for Production Operatives to join our client in Witney on the night shift.
This opportunity would suit experienced Production Operatives, who are either looking for a temporary placement or a long-term permanent contract.
Our client boasts attractive set hours, with flexibility as required.
Key Responsibilities for Production Operative:
1. Oversee day-to-day factory planning across all shifts, ensuring adherence to production plans.
2. Deliver production targets in:
1. Output levels (efficiency & utilisation)
2. Quality control
3. Health & Safety compliance (including employee welfare)
4. On Time in Full delivery
3. Identify and mitigate risks, reporting proactively to the Head of Manufacturing.
4. Foster a safety-focused culture, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
5. Continuously seek improvements in factory efficiency and processes.
6. Align employee resources with short and long-term production plans.
7. Build effective working relationships across departments to maximise productivity.
Key Skills & Experience:
1. Strong knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental practices in manufacturing.
2. Experience in production and resource planning.
3. Timber frame manufacturing experience preferred.
4. Proficiency in ERP systems (IFS preferred).
5. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
6. Understanding and experience of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S and Continuous Improvement.
7. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems in manufacturing.
Working Hours:
1. This is a full-time role (46 hours per week, Monday-Thursday), with flexibility for part-time hours, including shorter days or fewer working days per week.
2. Shift pattern: 4:45 pm to 4:45 am.
