We are looking for a Stores Operative to join a busy manufacturing company based in Doncaster.
Duties of the Stores Operative include:
1. Administer stock control, including stock movements out or in, reporting any shortfalls or faults on the same day, and regular checking of stock levels.
2. Conduct full stock taking procedures and maintain acceptable stock levels agreed with the Finance department.
3. Make available stock relating to field work and return field stock to suppliers as required.
4. Liaise with project purchaser, finance, planning, and workshop to prepare stock requirements.
5. Provide all equipment and consumables to workshop engineers for the next day's work.
6. Organise subcontract work required for products, arranging dispatch and accepting returns while ensuring relevant quality checks are observed.
7. Process any returns or faulty goods, liaising with suppliers and accounts department to obtain replacements or credits.
8. Package goods for dispatch safely and securely, ensuring correct paperwork and labeling are included.
9. Maintain stock in a safe and correct manner, adhering to designated stock areas and observing COSHH safety data for storage and use.
10. Observe recycling and waste disposal policies of the Company.
11. Participate in the month-end process for stock valuation.
