We are looking for an experienced senior registered practitioner to be part of our friendly and enthusiastic team in Main Theatre, Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen.
As a senior registered practitioner and team leader, you will be accountable for the delivery of a high standard of cost effective care without direct supervision, adopting current evidenced based practice whilst adhering to legal requirements, statutory rules and Health Board policies.
The successful individual will be able to provide expert clinical leadership, whilst being accountable for one's own professional actions and be responsible for the effective running of the service.
The post is a full time vacancy and will require participation in a variety of shift patterns which could include but not limited to days, evenings, nights, weekends and on call rota.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert levels of practice and knowledge, promoting evidence based care within the Peri-Operative Practice.
2. Act as a professional role model to all in the Peri-Operative team, and work according to the Health Board values.
3. Ensure that staff participate in a developing culture where openness and a positive approach to learning, change management and continuous professional development are attained.
4. Demonstrate the ability to deal with complex physical and psychological needs and use judgment in negotiating and adapting patient care to provide solutions.
5. Take the lead in planning, organising and initiating developments in services.
6. Participate and support the Senior Nurse/ Clinical Manager in multidisciplinary clinical audit programmes including relevant standards relating to the specialty.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
