Salary: £27,800- £37,800 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

THE ROLE
We’re looking for creative and strategically minded YouTube Assistant Producers to join our YouTube team within the BBC Children’s and Education department. This is an exciting opportunity to craft engaging content and develop strategies that amplify our BBC Children’s brands and campaigns to preschool and young audiences on the world’s biggest video platform.
Our team works across the full range of our young audiences offering, from preschool CBeebies featuring talent and brands such as Andy Day, Bluey, Hey Duggee, Numberblocks up to the likes of Horrible Histories, Operation Ouch, Shaun The Sheep, BBC Newsround and Bitesize GCSE.
You will be part of a team that is central to communicating our brand values, delivering our public service, driving reach and growth and supporting the launch of BBC programmes, services and initiatives across our BBC Children’s and Education YouTube channels.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and produce original engaging video content and content briefs for BBC Children’s and Education YT channels, aligning with brand tone, editorial values and ensuring it is compliant for young audiences.
* Deliver content strategies focused around YT product features in particular Live Streaming, as well as Podcasts and Shorts.
* Collaborate with brand owners, marketing and social media teams to develop high impact promotional content plans that sit cohesively within multiplatform brand campaign strategies.
* Use analytics data and research to monitor content performance, stay on top of emerging trends and platform updates, providing actionable insights to improve performance and innovate our output.
* Support management of operations of multiple YouTube channels, including scheduling, live streaming, optimisation and performance tracking.
* Produce compelling thumbnails, titles and metadata to drive discoverability and audience retention.
Are you the right candidate?
* A creative storyteller with a strong portfolio of digital video content, particularly on YouTube.
* Deeply passionate and knowledgeable about preschool and children’s audiences, their content needs and behaviour.
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – especially Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects.
* Deeply knowledgeable about YouTube products and features, its algorithm, SEO best practices and analytics tools.
* Able to interpret data and audience research and translate it into actionable, creative and strategic decisions.
* Highly organised, self-motivated and comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
