Job summary Exciting opportunity to direct and manage the Antenatal and Newborn Screening and Fetal medicine for UH Sussex. The post holder will be responsible for managing the antenatal and newborn screening team across all four sites of UH Sussex and must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, professionalism, managerial skills, change management skills and extensive knowledge in the area of antenatal and newborn screening/fetal medicine. The post holder must be able to provide a visible and clinical presence within their area of responsibility and demonstrate advanced midwifery clinical expertise, with extensive knowledge of national policy, standards and frameworks. To be responsible for the provision of high quality, woman centred antenatal and newborn screening service and fetal medicine for the Trust, in line with the national Screening Committee standards. To act as a specialist in the field of antenatal and newborn screening, assisting and advising other health professionals in the management of the screening pathways. To lead on the management of all Trust antenatal and newborn screening pathways, ensuring that they meet national standards and that new or updated standards are implemented as they are released by the NSCT. To work with the multidisciplinary team to continually monitor the screening pathways, identify areas for improvement, and support staff in this process.
