The Vacancy is for a Technical Administration Officer, Grade 5 within the Guilden Sutton, Chester, Highways Office. The role will be working within a highly productive Team carrying out duties of providing financial, technical and administrative support to staff within the Highways Offices for delivery of works across the Borough. The principal responsibilities will be to act as one of the main points of contact to manage the response process to a wide variety of complaints, enquiries, emergencies and requests of information received from members of the public. You will also be dealing with contacting external bodies, Contractors and suppliers for Highway Authority responsibilities. Also included within the role is dealing with processes of financial transactions (payments and third-party claims etc) and dealing with regulation orders all complying with the Councils and Highway legal regulations. The job requires using a varied element of computer systems including: Microsoft Teams; Confirm, and Unit 4: Best 4 Business. The role is classed as a 'Hybrid' worker which means that the successful applicant will be expected to work both from the office (both at Guilden Sutton and/or Winsford Depots - cover in the office will be required as per any agreed rota and any additional cover requirements) however, it may also enable working from home when agreed with their line manager.
