Auto Electrical Engineer

Are you looking for a career as an Auto Electrical Engineer? Maybe you have just finished studying and are looking for an employer to work with who will train and support you. You will join an experienced service team and full training will be provided.

The business specializes in the design and production of innovative vehicle safety and security products. Their products range from camera and digital video recorders through to reverse parking solutions, and their customers range from individuals and small businesses through to an extensive fleet work.

As an Auto Electrical Engineer you will need to have/be:

1. Completed a relevant course/qualification such as:
1. Level 2 Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles.
2. Level 2 Diploma in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Competence.
3. Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
4. T Level in Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing.

4. A willingness to learn
5. Excellent organisation and time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines
6. Ability to act and operate independently
7. Ability to take instruction and work well as part of a team
8. Set high standards and take pride in your work
9. A full driving licence as you will be required to travel with the role

Details:
1. Salary: £8.60 - £12.21 + benefits outlined below
2. Working Hours: Full time up to 48 hours per week Monday - Friday, hours will vary depending on travel time and location
3. Location: Sutton Coldfield
4. Duration: Permanent

Role of Auto Electrical Engineer:
1. Install, repair and maintain aftermarket safety and security systems on both small commercial vehicles and large plant
2. Install safety systems such as DVR, Camera Systems and Side Detection
3. Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation
4. Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards
5. Test electrical components installed on the vehicle
6. Report faults as found and liaise with customers when necessary
7. Carry out vehicle inspections
8. Assess and remove damaged components
9. Complete job reports
10. Run diagnostics on vehicles to determine faults
11. Remove and refit vehicle trim and components
12. Follow technical drawings and specification sheets
