As part of our Early Talent Programme, you’ll be involved in projects and learning opportunities that have real impact from day one. Engineering apprentices play a hugely important role at AstraZeneca, solving challenges that arise from some of the most advanced equipment in the industry.
Under supervision, the role holder will work on:
* Control and Automation Systems used for the development and manufacture of API on Pilot Plants.
* Performing the role of System Administrator, ensuring continued system compliance, reliability, and life cycle management.
* Providing project and troubleshooting technical support in the event of Control System upgrades, maintenance, and support of failure events.
Training and Development
AstraZeneca will sponsor you through your Control System Engineer degree at Aston University. The apprenticeship combines working, earning a full-time salary, with fully funded part-time university learning (on average 1 day/week).

Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs Grades 9-4 including minimum 4 grade in Maths, English and a Science, Technology or Engineering related subject. To have achieved or predicted to achieve 3 A levels or equivalent at Grade C or above in both a Mathematical based subject and a Science, Technology, Engineering related subject.
Benefits
This is a 48-month fixed term contract opportunity based at Macclesfield with a starting base salary of £21,500 + 11% benefits fund + bonus.
We offer a relocation package to help with the costs and process of moving for candidates who currently live more than 60 minutes from the site location for this Apprenticeship.
