Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the therapy team at St Helier hospital for an experienced neuro physiotherapist to cover a 12 month temporary contract as part of maternity cover. Are you experienced in Neurology rehab and looking for a new challenge? The team are friendly, welcoming and supportive and this role works closely with all members of the MDT. This post works alongside a Neuro OT to provide a service to patients with neurological impairment admitted to St Helier hospital and help navigate their pathway of rehabilitation and or discharge.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to lead and develop a high-quality neuro-rehabilitation service for neurologically impaired adults at St. Helier Hospital and to assist in the development, redesign and audit of rehabilitation services provided across acute and community providers.

* Experience of managing a wide range of neuro conditions
* Relevant CPD
* Awareness of current issues in the NHS

* Post grad qualification
* Membership of ACPIN
Experience

* Broad range of rehab experience including neuro, respiratory and COTE
* Previous neuro rehab experience at band 6 level
* Experience managing others in a team
* Experience of service evaluation
* NHS experience
Skills and abilities

* Communication skills
* Teaching ability and willingness to lead staff training
* Advanced clinical skills including assessment, joint setting of realistic goals and evaluation of interventions
* Demonstrates advanced clinical reasoning
* Ability to participate in weekend and on call respiratory rotas
