We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Practitioner to support NIHR portfolio research projects and provide clinical cover within the Research and Innovation Department. This role involves carrying out a range of administrative and patient care tasks under the guidance and supervision of research nurses and study investigators.
You will perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, ECGs, and cannulation, contributing to the smooth operation of research activities. The post holder is not required to hold statutory qualifications, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience in clinical research.
In this role, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team, supporting cutting-edge research and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge and patient care. Your work will help ensure the successful execution of research projects, from patient recruitment to data collection and analysis. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in both clinical and administrative aspects of research, working closely with experienced professionals in the field.

Person Specification
Knowledge Requirements
* Knowledge and understanding of research information flows
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Previous recent (within the last 2 years) research data/data collection, data input or clinical audit experience.
Qualifications
* Satisfactory level of general education
* Good standard of written and spoken English
* GCSE 'C' or above in English and Maths or equivalent
* NVQ 2 in care or willingness to work towards
Further Training
* Demonstrates a commitment to further learning and personal development
* GCP (Good Clinical Practice) training
* NVQ 3 in care
Experience
* Previous experience of working within an acute healthcare or research environment for at least 2 years
* Experience of patient based systems
* Cannulation and/or phlebotomy
