Job summary DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL PATHOLOGY Cellular Pathology AUDIO TYPIST BAND 3 FULL-TIME 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK - Monday to Friday 9:00am - 17:00 One full-time audio typist is required in our busy Cellular Pathology Office. The ideal candidate should be well organised, have a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiate. Applicants will be expected to have a proven audio typist and Microsoft applications experience. Knowledge of medical terminology is required as this post will involve audio typing of medical reports. General office duties will include reception, computer input of patients' data, dealing with telephone enquiries and filing. The post holder will be part of a team delivering support services to Cellular Pathology, providing input of patient records, reception, generation and distribution of reports. The post holder will carry out the role of audio typist and communicate effectively with office, laboratory and clinical staff.
