The successful candidate will:
* Have experience working with residents with dementia
* Show genuine interest in residents
* Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
* Work effectively as part of a team
* Motivate residents to participate in activities
* Be well-organized and able to manage time effectively
* Build residents' self-esteem
* Stay informed about new activities
Role and responsibilities include:
* Organizing and coordinating tailored activities and group events, including themed events based on holidays and traditions
* Booking external entertainment providers
* Organizing community trips, considering transport and accessibility
* Planning stimulating activity programs to enhance residents' quality of life
* Maintaining records of resident participation and needs
* Managing a portfolio of activities available within the home and community
* Participating in fundraising events
General duties:
* Attending staff meetings
* Completing mandatory and development training
* Communicating effectively with staff, relatives, visitors, and professionals
* Practicing safe working practices
This position is subject to references and an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be covered by the successful applicant.
