Owing to continued demand and our ambitious plans for growth, Turner & Townsend are looking to recruit project controls managers to join our growing team, with proven track record and experience across natural resources (Oil, Gas, Chemical, Mining) and/or new energies (Offshore Wind, CCUS, Hydrogen, Nuclear) sector.
The Project Controls Manager will join our growing UK Project Controls team, who work with a wide range of clients to deliver best practice Controls, Planning, Analytics and Reporting, Risk, Change, Resource and Performance Management solutions.
Overview of the role
* Delivering Project Controls across major capital projects, portfolios, or programmes.
* The Project Controls Manager will either;
o lead the project control’s function including schedule development, performance reporting & risk or
o undertake one of the core specialisms on major projects (risk, schedule, performance).
Other responsibilities include:
* Reviewing new project proposals/remits and monitor so that realistic, resource plans are developed for delivery of the project.
* Provide an efficient day-to-day service to the Programme and Project Managers in reporting on plans, costs, safety, environment, and programme performance.
* Monitor so that data input by project teams and others to cost and performance systems meet required data standards.
* Manage the production of the investment plans including funding request.
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, both site and office based.
* Experience in risk management including risk management processes.
* Experience of working on capital projects within natural resources and/or new energy sector.
* Working knowledge of project controls process and procedures.
* Skilled in oral and written communication.
* Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Knowledge of digital PMOs would be advantageous.
