Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm on the appointment of a SHEQ Manager.
As a SHEQ Manager, you will ensure top-tier SHEQ standards across all operations, promoting continuous improvement and best practice.
In your new role:
1. Actively engage and influence teams to uphold SHEQ compliance and drive performance improvements.
2. Document site risk profiles with thorough risk assessments, creating and implementing action plans to mitigate risks.
3. Ensure an effective SHEQ induction programme for all site personnel, including employees, contractors, and visitors.
4. Provide training and coaching to empower teams to lead SHEQ efforts within their areas.
5. Develop, review, and align SHEQ policies with business needs and legislative requirements.
6. Enhance SHEQ awareness across the business to foster a prioritised safety culture.
7. Collaborate across teams to shape the SHEQ agenda and promote continuous improvement.
8. Incorporate health and safety controls in equipment upgrades and installations.
9. Conduct regular inspections and random audits, reporting results and recommending improvements.
10. Liaise with regulators for site audits and inspections.
11. Ensure timely reporting, investigation, and resolution of all incidents and near misses.
What you will need to succeed:
1. BSc (Hons) in Occupational H&S/NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
2. 5 years' Health and Safety experience, with a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, preferably in heavy industry.
3. Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9000 standards.
4. Proficient in MS Office with excellent reporting and numerical skills.
5. Experienced in all Health and Safety aspects, including policy maintenance, risk assessment, training, audits, and incident reporting.
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
1. Internal auditor certification.
2. Environmental certification.
