The Role
As the International Sales Director, you will lead the expansion of the retail and wholesale presence in the UK and international markets (specifically the US and Europe). Your strategic vision will drive business development, optimise account management, and establish long-term partnerships that position our brand as a leader in the category industry.
Reporting to the CEO and Founder, you will work closely with internal teams (Brand, Design, E-Commerce, Partnerships, Nutrition & Innovation) and external partners to deliver exceptional growth and market penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute a global retail and wholesale growth strategy across UK, EU, and Rest of World (ROW) markets.
* Identify and develop new business opportunities while scaling operations in existing and emerging markets.
* Manage high-level strategic retail partnerships, ensuring growth through sell-in, sell-through, and long-term relationship building.
* Oversee retail partner support programs, developing sales materials, training modules, and product launch strategies.
* Use data insights to drive CRM strategy, customer retention, and sustainable business growth.
* Conduct market analysis to identify expansion opportunities, competitor insights, and new product potential.
* Define and refine distribution and go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment with commercial growth objectives.
* Negotiate commercial agreements with retail and wholesale partners to secure optimal terms and strategic positioning.
* Ensure compliance with international regulations and operational readiness for market entry.
* Monitor financial performance, sales tracking, and budget forecasting, ensuring profitability and target achievement.
* Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented culture.
Who You Are
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A proven track record in scaling brands internationally (specifically the US), with strong experience in retail and wholesale business development.
* Experience within the FMCG or health sector, with established industry contacts.
* Expertise in account management and sales pipeline strategies.
* A strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to forecast growth and track performance.
* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure beneficial long-term agreements.
* Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing sales team.
