Job Description
Social Work Services is looking to recruit to the posts of Social Worker within the Criminal Justice Sector in the North East Area.
You must possess a Diploma in Social Work (or Social Work equivalent).
This job offers a crucial role in safeguarding communities and reducing offending within the community. Working with often very vulnerable individuals with complex needs, we require to work effectively across the Glasgow Health & Social Care Partnership in order to secure better and positive outcomes for individuals subject to statutory orders.
We work with a broad range of partners within justice services including Police Scotland, Court, Health and voluntary services with the aim being to promote and engage clients in effective offence focused work, preventative and recovery supports and early interventions to reduce the risk of re-offending.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment along with SSSC Registration. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks. Please note as part of the local government pay deal, local authority staff are currently not required to pay SSSC fees.
This temporary position will be for a period up to 31st March 2025.
