As an assistant accountant you will ensure an efficient standardised process is in place to enable governance, reporting and accuracy of financial information channelled through an excellent service delivery to the wider Business Unit. Responsible for the processing and review of costing journals, recharges, and balance sheet reconciliations. What you’ll do: Prepare and input & review standard journals to general & project ledgers Reconciliation & review of primary balance sheet accounts, working with Operating Unit teams Calculate, post and reconcile recharges, ensure appropriate and timely cost allocation Support the month end close process as per the corporate reporting calendar timelines Supporting the Finance Service Delivery Team in the delivery of the detailed responsibilities as listed in the finance taxonomy (service catalogue) Any other tasks and services requested by line management, in accordance with the deliverables and objectives of the team Support in audit queries relating to costing journals, recharges and balance sheet reconciliations Continuous process improvement and maintenance of process documents – focusing on harmonisation across the various operating units supported by automations What you’ll bring to the role: ERP system knowledge, Oracle Fusion preferred Up-to-date knowledge of financial and management accounting practices Detailed and analytical Customer focused – experience of working in a shared service environment preferred Demonstration of process improvement and automation Equal opportunities We thrive through embracing differences, whether they be social backgrounds, ethnicity, disability, gender identity or expression, age, religion, sexual orientation and any other protected characteristic – we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
