Connex Education are currently working in partnership with a successful Alternative provision school in the Nottingham region to support with their long-term supply needs.
About The School
The school is a welcoming and supportive environment for children with behaviour needs. It follows a bespoke curriculum for the pupils while also helping support them through their GCSEs.
Assignment Details
The role will be starting after the February half term, working Monday to Friday with a view to permanent employment with the school. The school would prefer a QTS teacher but would consider someone with a degree specializing in Math’s.

Person Specification for Alternative Provision Tutor
* Have some experience working with young people in either a school setting or a similar environment, i.e., NCS / Sports coaching, etc.
* Be confident in your ability to lead a class of children aged 11-16 years.
* Be able to work well with challenging behaviour.
* Hold strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
* Willing to undergo continual professional training.
* Able to work under pressure effectively and ‘think on your feet’.
* Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can do attitude’ and good sense of humour.
* Be able to commute to Nottingham and surrounding areas.
