Job summary Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides acute hospital and community services. This is a new and exciting job opportunity. The Matron for Patient Information will have responsibility for shaping the Trust's patient information. This involves managing the interfaces with the Trust app (My Frimley Health Record), the external Trust website and the clinical directorates. The post also involves providing information on the performance and efficacy of the service to inform ongoing improvement work and resource allocation. The post holder will report to the Head of Patient Experience who will support the development of the service. The post holders career history as an experienced registered nurse/AHP will provide the clinical expertise necessary to ensure patient information is accurate, meaningful, accessible, and allows patients to make informed decisions about their care. Main duties of the job The postholder will: Provide a gap analysis of the current situation against the desired state of the Trust patient information. Design and lead a quality improvement project to develop and standardise the Trust Patient Information. This will involve large scale complex change. Develop a project plan with risk management and defined measures of success to design an innovative patient information service that meets the needs of the surrounding population, champions the concept of shared decision-making and utilises the digital platforms available to the Trust. Take appropriate action to escalate issues and exceptions. Ensure that all statutory requirements regarding the Accessible Information Standard are met by the Trust so that information is available in different formats to meet the needs of the diverse population. Produce a policy and procedure for patient information production. Teach groups of staff on the following principles - agreed processes for developing and managing patient information, formatting and branding for locally developed patient information, compliance with the Accessible Information Standard. Ensure this training is rolled out across the organisation and multi-disciplinary teams to embed the agreed approach.
