A leading compliance services company is seeking a dedicated Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team, based in Doncaster, delivering essential inspection, testing, and remedial services across multiple sites in the UK. About the Role As a Water Hygiene Engineer (previously titled Compliance Engineer), you’ll ensure client sites meet rigorous health, safety, and compliance standards. Based in Doncaster, this multi-site position offers variety, independence, and the opportunity to provide expert technical support to clients nationwide. Key Responsibilities: Perform compliance checks, including water hygiene monitoring, water asset descaling, chlorination, emergency light testing, and fire extinguisher servicing. Carry out legionella compliance tasks in line with ACoP-L8 and HSG274 standards. Complete site surveys using hand-held devices, ensuring accurate paperwork and photographs. Offer technical advice to clients on works being undertaken. Travel to various sites across the UK (accommodation and food allowance provided). Report data or software issues to senior management. Achieve personal appraisal targets set by your line manager. Adhere to company Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities policies. What We’re Looking For Essential Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience in workplace health and safety compliance surveys and inspections. Solid knowledge of company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation. Ability to work independently across multiple sites, adhering to strict quality and operational standards. IT skills (Excel, data management software). A proactive approach to developing your knowledge and skills. Flexibility and awareness of your own strengths and limitations. Desirable: Previous experience as a Compliance Engineer or in a similar role. Familiarity with water hygiene and legionella compliance (ACoP-L8, HSG274). Why Apply?
