The Role:
As our new Asset Manager, you will be at the forefront of client engagement, working closely with both our Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer, ensuring we deliver tailored, high-quality software solutions. Your deep understanding of Asset Management and your technical expertise will be essential in contributing to the design of our bespoke systems to meet client needs and driving successful pre-sales conversations. You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Asset Management, guiding clients through our solutions, who manage large portfolios of assets, and ensuring the systems are designed correctly to manage their assets effectively. You will be able to think outside the box and suggest creative solutions to ensure our clients can effectively manage their assets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Engagement: Act as the lead expert for Asset Management systems, working directly with clients to understand their requirements and challenges.
* Solution Delivery: Collaborate with BDMs and Pre-Sales teams to tailor our solutions to meet client needs, ensuring our software systems align with the management of their assets.
* Portfolio Management: Demonstrate expertise in managing a large portfolio of assets, particularly those over 100,000, ensuring you have the understanding of the client's requirements and that our systems deliver optimal value and performance.
* Asset Management Expertise: Be the go-to person for all things related to asset management, guiding clients through the best practices and strategies for asset tracking, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
* Expansion into Highways: As our client base grows, you'll lead the charge in expanding our offerings into the highways sector, including managing assets such as bridges, drainage assets, and infrastructure along highways.
Essentials we are looking for...
* Proven experience in an Asset Management role, with a focus on software-driven environments.
* Expertise in managing large portfolios of 100,000+ assets, with a strong understanding of the challenges and best practices involved.
* Strong client-facing experience with the ability to engage, influence, and build relationships with key stakeholders.
* Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of asset management principles and solutions.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and creative thinking when addressing client needs.
* Familiarity with asset management in infrastructure sectors, particularly highways, is a plus.
* Experience dealing with difficult or demanding stakeholders and finding solutions that meet both client and company needs.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
* Ability to adapt to changing requirements, work under pressure, and handle competing priorities.
* Flexibility to travel for client meetings, site visits, and project requirements as needed.
Stuff we'd love but not essential...
* Experience with configuring bespoke asset management systems, or familiarity with system integration, would be a plus.
* Previous experience managing or advising on infrastructure assets, such as bridges, drainage asset and infrastructure along highways.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, ensuring that software configurations and implementations meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.
* Ability to analyse asset data to identify trends, generate insights, and recommend improvements for asset management strategies.
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations for asset management and infrastructure management.
