Payment: £22,222 per annum full time equivalent (prorated for your 8-week internship, non-negotiable)

About the role
The Digital Sustainability & Data Intern will work with the digital sustainability team to calculate and report emissions for technology and digital products, helping to innovate on our digital sustainability processes and tools, and assist in creating the Environmental Data Hub. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a growing field as you will collaborate with various teams to integrate digital sustainability guidelines and develop strategies for improving environmental data.
As part of this role, you will:
1. Work at the forefront of new developments in the digital sustainability and digital carbon accounting space
2. Have the opportunity to learn about environmental data analysis and reporting
3. Work on the cloud carbon emissions reporting for the business
4. Support the digital sustainability team in integrating digital sustainability practices across the business
5. Collaborate with the wider Environmental team to understand how a business approaches carbon emissions reporting and optimisation About you
We are looking for a driven and analytical individual who is passionate about the planet and interested in how technology and data can support in creating a more sustainable world. You are excited about learning about new concepts and trying out new digital tools and processes. Asking lots of questions and challenging the way things are done is encouraged in this team. Experience in environmental science or sustainability work would be good, however you do not need to be a specialist in the area, but should be open to learning about and understanding the subject.
To be successful in this role, the following skills, values and behaviours are desirable:
6. Familiarity with Power BI or similar visualisation tools
7. Experience with managing and analysing large datasets
