Clinical Scientist (Radiotherapy Physics) Band 7
The Radiotherapy Physics team consists of 13 staff and is a multi-disciplinary team including Clinical Scientists and Clinical Technologists. The department provides scientific support within radiotherapy at both the main site in Cheltenham and at the satellite centre in Hereford.
The job will support the Radiotherapy service as well as being involved in aspects of clinical computing in Medical Physics and Radiotherapy.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide Radiotherapy Physics services to the Gloucestershire Oncology Centre so that patients' Radiotherapy can be delivered safely, accurately and efficiently using modern techniques and equipment.
2. To provide scientific advice to other staff groups.
3. To provide clinical computing support to Medical Physics within Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
* MSc in Medical Physics
* Experience of performing equipment QA
* Experience of working under IRR & IR(ME)R 2017 legislation
* HCPC registration
* Experience of clinical computing
* Effective teaching and research skills
* Experience of working in radiotherapy
* Ability to write scripts and compute programs
Desirable
* Experience of working in other areas of Medical Physics
* Evidence of maintaining CPD
* Experience of performing radiation risk assessments
* Evidence of project management
