Elmwood Ward is Parklands Hospital's dementia admissions ward. We offer assessment & nursing care to vulnerable adults. We are known to manage complex challenging behaviours & safely discharge. We place emphasis on providing a compassionate, collaborative, & safe environment.
We have a multi-disciplinary model with nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physios & medics. We know how important a work life balance is & we are open to flexible working. There is an expectation to work unsocial hours & to meet the needs of the service, but we welcome & consider applications for part time working & condensed hours.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide physical and psychological care to service users in accordance with the specified plan of clinical care.
2. To carry out duties as designated by the person in charge.
3. To accurately record patient/service user information.
4. To provide support to relatives/carers.

Qualifications
* Literacy and numeracy skills
* Previous experience in a health or care setting
* NVQ Level 2 in Care

* Evidence of effective interpersonal skills

* Able to co-facilitate group work
* Able to carry out supervision of staff
