The Bradgate Mental Health Unit is an acute admission facility comprising seven wards, providing care in a fast-paced environment to patients with complex mental health conditions and physical co-morbidities. About you:

Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Nurse at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit, you will:
* Deliver evidence-based, person-centred care to all service users on the ward.
* Take charge of shifts, including delegating responsibilities, coordinating tasks, and prioritising workloads.
* Maintain your professional registration and mandatory training, and engage in clinical supervision.
* Assess and review patient care, develop and implement care plans, and work collaboratively with families and carers.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, healthcare support workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and dieticians.
* Manage the administration of medications in line with policy and procedures.
* Maintain accurate and confidential care records, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
* Take a proactive approach to improving patient care, escalating incidents, and addressing concerns or complaints.
* Build strong therapeutic relationships with service users, underpinned by open and effective communication.
