Your role at BRE BRE is seeking a dedicated and experienced consultant, with a focus on building energy performance in the built environment, to join our busy Strategic Advisory team. Our team delivers an exciting mix of research and strategic consultancy advice to property owners and other stakeholders who are looking to improve the sustainable performance of buildings and portfolios. We provide trusted advice on things like: how to meet emerging policy requirements, low carbon design strategies, decarbonisation-focused retrofit strategies, net zero action planning, understanding the role of emerging technologies and techniques, and more. Due to growth in this area, we are looking for a consultant with knowledge and interest in the standards and methods for assessing the energy performance of buildings in the UK. Candidates will ideally have some familiarity with assessment methods, tools/software to assess energy performance, energy data analysis, and related policy. Other experience/interests would ideally include: Providing consultancy services using a variety of research methods (e.g. literature reviews, analysing data, modelling, stakeholder engagement, etc.), conducting independent evaluations, and preparing written reports and presentations Awareness of regulations relating to building energy performance and ideally a working knowledge of approved energy modelling tools (e.g. SAP, SBEM, DSM, etc.).
