Empower Talent is supporting a leading manufacturing organisation in Ayrshire with the recruitment of a skilled Control Electrical Engineer to join their growing team.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in the development, maintenance, and optimisation of control systems used across a large-scale, highly regulated manufacturing facility.The Role: As a Control Electrical Engineer, you will provide essential technical support across a wide range of systems. Your role will involve ensuring system efficiency, supporting the commissioning of new equipment, and ensuring compliance with key safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal company policiesProactively report unsafe acts or conditions, following the company's Near Miss Reporting systemDevelop and implement programmable solutions to improve system performance and plant outputMaintain accurate records of any changes to programmed systems or interventionsProvide technical support for the maintenance of all programmable and electrical systems on-siteStay up to date with safety legislation, ensuring all systems remain compliant or highlighting areas for improvementCreate and manage technical documentation such as P&IDs, schematics, ladder logic, and specifications in accordance with company proceduresOrganise, conduct, and analyse trials for system improvements, making recommendations based on findingsSupport and instruct operational staff in the effective use of PLC-controlled equipmentWhat Were Looking For: A strong commitment to Safety, Quality, and Environmental standardsThe ability to identify and resolve potential issues proactivelyA continuous improvement mindset with a focus on delivering business benefitsExcellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skillsA solid understanding of company policies and procedures to ensure site complianceQualifications & Experience: Degree or relevant experience in Electrical, Electronic, Software, or a related Engineering disciplineProficiency in PLC programming across a variety of systemsProject management experienceKnowledge of Machinery and Process DirectivesExperience with commissioning new and existing plant and equipmentFamiliarity with process design, electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic/robotic systemsStrong IT skills (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Previous experience working within multi-functional teamsIf you are an experienced Control Electrical Engineer looking for a new and exciting challenge, we would love to hear from you.
