Role Overview You will be tasked with rectifying paint on parts using a machine operated polisher. A comprehensive understanding of sanding materials and polishing processes is required. In addition you will need to demonstrate experience in: Paying attention to detail that affects the aesthetic standards of the product Prepare surfaces and/or rectify paint contaminates "paint inclusions, orange peel etc", finding solutions that utilises your expertise in paint understanding Experience with using machine operated polisher & ability to hand polish to requirements Ability to follow a process with experience to suggest process improvements that benefits the overall quality of the product Able to work to strict deadlines that impact overall productivity levels Key Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required A good understanding of, Quality improvement requirements and of Continuous Improvement Be numerate and have good oral and written communication skills. Be able to work under pressure and prioritise own workload as required Uphold an upbeat "can do" attitude with outgoing personality to motivate and lead teams Proactive and positive approach, with a desire to succeed both personally and for the business Demonstrable experience of correcting surface defects and contamination Experience and understanding of paint thickness measurements and paint finishes External paint detailing & surface finishing corrective actions Experience and understanding of paint processing would be an advantage in this role to support corrective actions Automotive trade certificate in related discipline (machine polishing / vehicle detailing) Hours and Salary Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm, Friday 7am - 1pm £28,000 per annum
