Job Title: Research Assistant Physical Location: Kent Campus - Kent, OH Salary: $15.00 - $19.71 per hour Basic Function: We are seeking a full-time Research Assistant in the Department of Anthropology. The position is funded by National Institute on Aging Grants (5 years) to examine the interrelationship of age-related changes in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, as well as neurodegenerative diseases, in humans and nonhuman primates to understand their impact on longevity and health span. Additional Basic Function – if applicable: Examples of Duties: Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: The successful candidate will be responsible for performing histology, immunohistochemistry, advanced unbiased stereology, and protein assays. In addition, the candidate will assist in day-to-day laboratory management, ordering supplies, training students on experimental techniques, data analyses, scientific presentations, drafting publications, and other duties as assigned by the principal investigators.
