An exciting new opportunity to join our global commercial team. Quality Assurance Engineer is a permanent role, reporting to the Quality Manager, which could lead to broader opportunities.
Responsibilities
1. Lead quality investigations associated with customer and internal build quality issues.
2. Identify root cause, implement corrective & preventive actions required using the 8D process.
3. Provide quality engineering support to all production cells.
4. Lead MRB activities in production and Goods Inwards.
5. Assist in day-to-day running of the customer RMA process.
6. Prepare PPAP and FAIR reports.
7. Assist in maintaining ISO9001 and ISO 13485 Quality management standards.
8. Conduct internal audits as per ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
9. Assist in supplier quality assurance activities.
10. Conduct quality assurance activity related to new product introduction (NPI).
Skills and Experience
1. Experience in manufacturing within the Quality department.
2. Experience of working in an ISO9001 QMS.
3. Experience working to IPC610.
4. Experience in dealing with end customers for resolving quality issues.
5. Experience in dealing with external suppliers for product quality issues.
6. Experience in problem-solving methods like 8D, fishbone, 5 Whys, etc.
7. Practical experience of PFMEA, Process Maps, and Quality Control Plans.
8. Experience in PPAP and FAIRs.
9. Internal ISO 9001 auditor.
10. Demonstrable people and project management skills.
11. Able to understand the basics of technical drawings, measurements, and tolerances.
12. Experienced with using MS Excel and other basic software (i.e., ICT-literate).
13. Ability to build good interpersonal relationships.
14. Flexible and adaptable approach to tasks/projects.
15. Efficient and organized.
16. A proactive problem solver with a 'can do' attitude.
17. Willing to learn from mistakes and handle constructive criticism positively.
Significant advantages
1. Experience in electronic manufacturing, particularly PCB manufacturing.
2. Experience with ISO14001.
3. Experience with ISO13485.
4. Experience with ISO 27001.
5. Lead ISO 9001 auditor.
6. Six-sigma green belt.

Qualifications
Essential
1. A suitable college-level qualification (A-level, BTEC, C&G, NVQ etc.) in a relevant subject.
Preferred
1. Electronics-based qualifications or experience.
2. Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical engineering.
3. Knowledge of macros/VBA scripting in the MS Office environment.
4. Six-sigma green belt.
5. CQI - Professional qualification.
