Job Description
Financial Controller
Not every financial controller role is about breakneck growth or blue-sky strategy. Some are about building something that lasts - and doing it the right way.
This is one of those roles.
You'd be joining a family-run business that's grown to £10m turnover through solid service, loyal customers, and careful decisions. There's no chasing headlines here - just a clear focus on getting the basics right, looking after people, and delivering on promises. It's a steady, sustainable business, but they're not standing still. They've made acquisitions. They're tightening up systems. They're bringing the finance function fully in-house, and that's where you come in as their new Financial Controller.
As the Financial Controller you'll be the number one in finance and have real ownership and influence. You'll report into the General Manager and work closely with the board. You'll shape how finance works across the business, and your input will be listened to. If you want to make meaningful change without having to fight red tape, this is a great place to do it.
The team around you? Two long-standing colleagues in credit control and purchase ledger who know the ropes and value a collaborative approach. The wider business? Friendly, no-nonsense, and committed to delivering for their customers.
What they're looking for is someone experienced in the SME world who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. A Financial Controller who's confident taking the lead, improving systems, and bringing numbers to life for non-finance teams.
