Location: Liverpool, Manchester or Doncaster
Working within the freight forwarding division of 3PL provider Denholm Good Logistics, that handles all aspects of customs brokerage requirements externally for customers and internally as part of our Customs brokerage CoE (Centre of Excellence).
Although experience in Customs Entries is preferred, full Training will be provided, as what’s most important to us is to find someone who is motivated by problem solving, has strong organisational skills, and a great communication style. Above all, you’ll need to be passionate about keeping our customers’ supply chains moving!
The Day-to-Day
In this role you will need to enjoy the excitement every day being busy, with shifting priorities and the need for thinking on your feet to get the job done. The main responsibilities include:
* Complete all Customs entries from start to finish for imports and exports.
* Liaise with Port Health and Customs officials on document checks.
* Checking import tariffs and trade agreements Dealing with various modes of transport – Road, Air and Sea.
* Dealing with a variety of commodities.
* Receipt and process of inbound SCDP.
* Deal with all queries quickly and efficiently.
* Build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Complete customs procedures codes and implement efficiencies where Possible.
* Invoicing customers.
* Raise issues of non-compliance and ensure remedial action is completed in accordance with customs regulations and UK/ International law.
* Ensure all invoicing (notably VAT and Duty invoices) is completed in a timely manner.

* Working hours: full time 37.5 hours per week, Role may require some out of hours where necessary at weekends or bank holidays, agreed with line manager in advance.
