Brief Description
We are currently recruiting for a Performance and Assurance Engineer at Orpington Delivery Unit. You will be responsible for maintaining asset performance at a high standard, through monitoring and reporting reliability, productivity, efficiency and compliance. These engineers are tasked with analysing vast amounts of operational data, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that trains run on time, every time. By collaborating with various teams and using strategic problem-solving, they play a key role in enhancing service reliability, reducing disruptions, and safeguarding passengers. About the role (External)
What will your day to day look like:
·Monitor and report on a programme of assurance, staff surveillance, work quality and asset condition checks. Compile periodic reports and analyse trends. Make recommendations to address issues that require management action.
·Monitor and report on asset performance, reliability, work productivity and efficiency. Compile reports and analyse trends. Make recommendations to address issues that require management action.
·Monitor the progression and close-out of Non-Conformance Reports within the agreed timescales.
·Manage the process to submit, monitor and close out non-compliances.
·Assist in investigation of incidents and performance/compliance related failures.
·Monitor progress and report on business performance improvement initiatives. Make recommendations to address issues that require management action.
About you:
·Knowledge of engineering discipline
·Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniques
·Knowledge of assurance and compliance processes
·Knowledge of relevant standards and procedures
·Knowledge of investigation processes and techniques
·Good analytical skills
·Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills

·Good knowledge of railway operating rules and regulations
