Office Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and skilled Office Manager to run the day-to-day operations of the UK Land & Hydrographic Survey Association, incorporating The Survey School, in a full-time position in Worcester. Formed in 1979, TSA is the only trade body for land survey companies in the UK and we currently have just over 210 UK businesses across five categories of Membership. The association and training centre is run by a small secretariat team, headed by the CEO, and all decisions are made by an elected Council of 12 individuals.
The ideal candidate will have experience juggling the demands of an office environment, be a real team player, and be able to organise and prioritise workload. Experience of the surveying profession is preferred, but not essential.
We are looking for a diligent, reliable, honest individual who will bring the highest levels of attention to detail and communication.
The role involves:
* Reporting directly to the CEO
* First point of contact with our members/answering the phone and emails
* First point of contact regarding all bookings and courses run by The Survey School
* Responsibility for all internal association admin procedures
* Oversight of all H&S requirements/insurances
* Oversight of the websites
* Attending Quarterly Council/Committee meetings and drafting reports
* Ensuring all hardware & software packages are up to date
* Constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency within the Secretariat
* Experienced as an Office Manager & in small teams
* Advanced IT skills/knowledge (experience of Microsoft365, Survey Monkey, MailChimp, Dropbox/Cloud based working are all desirable)
* Reliable, loyal and discreet
* Excellent communicator and very high standard of both written and verbal English
Full time
Salary – from £30k, depending on experience
