Electrical Design Engineer - Permanent Position (UK-Based Applicants Only)

We're currently expanding and seeking both Experienced and Graduate Electrical Design Engineers to join our client's team.
About the Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll work on innovative projects with responsibilities including:
- Developing project documentation, such as design basis, functional specifications, and test procedures (FAT, SIT, SAT).
- Creating detailed design materials, including electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings, cabinet and panel layouts, I/O lists, 3D models, and bills of materials.
- Collaborating with purchasing and production teams, handling technical procurement specs, resolving design queries, and generating as-built documentation.
- Assisting with start-up, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, and occasionally on-site commissioning and integration.
- Finalising project close-out documentation, including updated drawings, O&M manuals, and spare parts lists.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Strong proficiency in E-Plan, 3D modeling, and simulation tools, with experience bringing designs from concept to completion.
- Skilled in PLC/SCADA, power generation & distribution, and variable speed drive systems.
- Knowledge of control and automation software is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Marine, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering, or a related discipline.
- This position is for UK-based applicants able to commute to Teesside, as sponsorship is not available.
