We’re looking for an innovative and enthusiastic communicator with a passion for working with students. You’ll take a leading role in shaping the way the four Schools in the Faculty engage with our undergraduate and postgraduate students.

About the role
This exciting role is the chance to make a real difference to our students and our staff. Based in one of our four Schools, you’ll work with staff and students to develop communications that enhance and improve the student experience.
Responsibilities
1. Putting the experience of our students at the heart of what we do, you’ll work with staff, students and the Students’ Union to ensure we are communicating in a powerful way that meets our diverse student community’s needs.
2. Working with one of our four Schools, you’ll work in partnership with our Teaching, Learning and Student Experience teams and postgraduate research (PGR) colleagues to guide, develop and support their communications to students in line with our strategic approach to student communications and our student communications commitment.
3. You’ll work closely with our student community, listening to their views so we can improve how we communicate with them and helping to make sure their voice is heard.
4. As part of the Faculty Student Communications Team, you will work in partnership with your fellow Coordinators to make sure communications across each School are consistent, and to create a culture of continuous development and best practice.
5. You will also work with colleagues in the wider Humanities Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment team and Humanities TLSE team. Your role will support projects delivered by the University’s central Student Communications team, ensuring the voice of the Schools and the Faculty is heard.
About you
* Experienced in developing and delivering dynamic communications, campaigns and associated engagement activities.
* Highly proficient in a range of communications, including copywriting, digital content creation, social media and presenting.
* Strong knowledge of student/youth communications and/or marketing, including up-to-date knowledge of best practice and innovation.
* Proven experience of planning and facilitating engagement activities such as event fairs, workshops and focus groups.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and explain complex issues to a range of audiences with a range of communications needs.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy and sensitivity.
