About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team as a Claims Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing world-class customer service to policyholders, handling claims efficiently, and ensuring seamless communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
* Advise policyholders on general queries and insurance claims issues, providing clear and concise guidance.
* BUILD TRUST WITH POLICYHOLDERS through effective communication, active listening, and empathy.
* Verify policy coverage and ensure claims are processed in a timely manner.
* Manage a high-volume portfolio of fast-paced claims, prioritizing tasks and maintaining focus on policyholder needs.
* Liaise between internal teams, third-party suppliers, and policyholders to facilitate smooth claim progression.
* Perform basic fraud checks and escalate suspicious circumstances to the Counter Fraud team.
* Negotiate settlement of claims verbally and in writing, ensuring fair outcomes for policyholders.
Requirements
* At least 2 years of experience in a Customer Service Role.
* Previous claims experience is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Good organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* Tact and assertiveness when dealing with supplier/surveyor networks.
