Solicitor/Associate – Niche Personal Injury Law Firm
We are seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join our boutique personal injury law firm, specialising in high-value and complex cases, including those involving chronic pain. As a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx), you will provide high-quality legal advice to clients in a commercially aware manner, while consistently delivering exceptional client service and managing risk. You will also contribute to the marketing of the department’s services and engage in business development activities to further enhance the firm’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Independently manage a caseload of high-value personal injury cases under appropriate supervision.
* Engage directly with clients to take instructions, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs and delivering on expectations.
* Willingness to attend clients in person nationally as required from time to time.
* Work closely with the Managing Partners to develop and refine client relationship skills.
* Enhance your personal profile and attract delegated work.
* Take responsibility for elements of business development projects within the department.
* Research and draft articles, as well as assist in the production of marketing materials.
* Begin building a network of clients, contacts, and potential referrers, and attend relevant networking events.
* Consistently manage time recording, work in progress (WIP) monitoring, and billing across files and matters.
* Contribute to fee forecasting for the department.
* Strive to meet personal key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure progress against them.

Skills, Experience, and Attributes
* Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive 8 years PQE.
* Previous experience of a broad spread of personal injury matters EL/PL, Industrial disease and RTA.
* Good working knowledge of Fast/ Intermediate and Multi-Track matters pre and post-litigation and up-to-date knowledge of the CPR.
* Ability to work independently and in a team as required on high-value cases.
* Strong client management skills with a focus on the delivery of excellent client service.
* Organised and able to effectively prioritise workload.
* Able to work under own steam/ self-motivated.
* Self-sufficient/ able to type and prepare letters and case bundles.
* Use of case management system and to demonstrate good time recording behaviours.
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
* Good level of IT skills, including proficient use of Adobe Pro for preparing bundles, Outlook 365 email, Microsoft applications, Word and Excel, etc.
* Driving licence.
