Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm
£83.33 per day

About the Position:
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for Psychology graduates who are keen to apply their academic knowledge in a hands-on environment, working directly with children who need extra assistance in their learning journey. As a Special Needs Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers, build their confidence, and support their academic and personal growth.
Main Responsibilities:
* Offer personalised support to primary-aged students with special educational needs, such as autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or social and emotional challenges.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted strategies tailored to each child’s needs.
* Work one-on-one or in small groups, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to deliver effective, child-centred support.
* Help children develop crucial skills in communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.

* A recent graduate with a degree in Psychology or a related discipline.

* Excellent communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
* A strong desire to gain practical experience in special educational needs (SEN) and child development.
* Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and other professionals to create a nurturing and supportive environment.

Requirements:
* Possess an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one (costs £46, which we will reimburse after 20 days of work).
* Have the legal right to work in the UK.
