Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking for your next challenge in the defence sector? We’re recruiting for a leading organisation in the maritime defence industry, seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to play a critical role in their commercial operations.
The Role
As Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll lead a small commercial team, managing high-value defence contracts and ensuring strategic, compliant, and commercially sound decision-making. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and government partners, negotiating and managing complex contracts while driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead and manage a small commercial team, ensuring high performance and professional development
✅ Oversee and negotiate complex defence contracts, ensuring commercial success and risk mitigation
✅ Manage customer relationships, acting as the key commercial point of contact
✅ Develop and implement commercial strategies to support business objectives
✅ Ensure compliance with UK defence procurement regulations and company policies
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in commercial/contracts management within the defence or maritime sector
Strong knowledge of MoD procurement and defence contracting frameworks
Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and manage a small team
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a complex, regulated environment, ensuring compliance and risk management
