Manufacturing Lead - EV / eVTOL - Buckinghamshire - £65k
We are seeking a Manufacturing Lead with a strong background in fast-paced manufacturing environments. You will be responsible for leading a team of up to 3 staff, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring high-quality production standards. While automotive experience is not essential, a track record in manufacturing environments with complex component assembly is crucial.
The company specialises in developing new technologies across the EV & eVTOL industry. They are growing extensively and they are at the forefront of new development across this sector.
Role: Manufacturing Lead
Salary: £50k to £65k
Location: Buckinghamshire
Working Arrangement: 5 days per week on site
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
* Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of up to 3 manufacturing staff.
* Plan and allocate daily tasks to ensure production schedules are met.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Production Management:
* Oversee the assembly and manufacturing processes, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
* Manage production workflows to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
* Maintain strict quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
* Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
Collaboration:
* Work closely with design, engineering, and procurement teams to align manufacturing processes with product requirements.
* Provide feedback to optimize design for manufacturability.
Operational Management:
* Monitor inventory levels of components and materials, ensuring availability to meet production demands.
* Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
* Background in fast-paced environments such as FMCG, consumer electronics, or similar industries.
* Experience managing processes involving numerous components and sub-assemblies.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
* Strong communication and team-building capabilities.
Preferred but Not Essential:
* Experience in the automotive or aerospace sectors.
* Understanding of EV/eVTOL manufacturing processes or similar advanced technologies.
