IT Business Development Manager – Potters Bar
Position: Business Development Manager (IT Services/MSP focused)
Location: Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 base salary + uncapped commission (£100,000 OTE)
A long-standing National IT Service Provider in Herts is currently expanding and on the lookout for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. You will be at the forefront of the company’s growth and new revenue plans, generating leads, booking client meetings, and closing new sales opportunities. There is an uncapped commission structure in place which allows huge earning potential. They are looking for somebody with a track record of winning new business in the IT space (hardware/software sales, MSP services, telecoms etc.) It is an exciting opportunity for a confident individual to join a company providing lots of training and support, and career development in the areas of Sales and IT. There will be an element of travel to customer sites, the majority being based locally in/around London and Herts, yet this will not be extensive.
Key Duties
1. Find and win new clients using sales tools (LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Marketing Campaigns).
2. Generate new leads and convert into sales.
3. Convert inbound leads into sales.
4. Manage territory of existing clients to ensure retention.
5. Meet with new customers, remotely or in-person where required, to give an overview of company products and services.
6. Support ad-hoc sales initiatives.
Key Skills
1. Generating new sales leads and closing them.
2. Background in selling managed IT and consulting services highly desirable.
3. Previous experience prospecting and following up on leads to book in meetings.
4. Track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
5. Confidence in presenting solutions and services to key C-level stakeholders.
6. Strong communication and writing skills.
7. Understanding of general IT Hardware/Software and what it’s used for is useful.
