You’ll be facilitating a best-in-class educational experience that uses the power of television to equip young people with skills for the future. Using bespoke software and studio equipment, you will take small groups of students through the process of making content. What You’ll Do To Successfully facilitate up to three Sky Up Academy Studios sessions for young people aged 8-18 per day To Actively support young people who present with SEND to ensure session meets their needs To be responsible for briefing all visitors to Sky Up Academy Studios and complete tours which will open the door to the world of work at Sky To establish boundaries and challenge inappropriate behaviour To attend regular training and development opportunities to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and local policy developments To work with the Youth & Social Impact Executive on the school’s recruitment strategy with specific focus on underserved areas To ensure all the correct due diligence has been done, including all safeguarding, legal, data protection and health and safety To support Youth & Social Impact Manager and Head of Youth & Social Impact with overall department strategy working closely with peers What You’ll Bring Proactive and adaptable approach to work, Ability to work well in time pressure situations, Creative thinking with a talent for practical problem solving, Being a confident collaborator with proven ability to work with all types of young people including SEND, Being a strong communicator who can work both independently and within a team, Ability to grasp new and complex issues quickly in a fast pace educational environment, Proven experience of working with young people in education or community groups aged 8-18 The ability to form trusted relationships with teachers and young people, Excellent team player and self-motivated The ability to encourage and inspire students. Being reliable and having a high level of resiliency.
