Our valued client, based in Birmingham, are seeking a Food Technologist to join their team. This role would be ideal for someone who has a Food/Agriculture related degree. The Food Technologist will be someone who has a passion for food and some agricultural interest, who is willing to learn and get stuck in.
The Food Technologist will be required to travel nationwide and internationally where you will be auditing & visiting suppliers. This is a huge opportunity to gather experience and development within a fantastic business.
Graduate Food Technologist Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate and make decisions on product quality and seasonality.
Engage with suppliers on ethical, sustainability, and quality requirements, documenting actions and progress.
Conduct internal reporting for customers and suppliers, handling all stakeholders and internal systems.
Assist with internal audits.
Audit and visit suppliers during international trips.
Attend customer meetings to support the broader team.
Manage supplier relationships
Oversee customer specifications and communicate with relevant parties, managing customer databases as required.
Act as a product specialist and support new product development.
Prepare monthly internal and external KPI summaries.
Technologist Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
HND or Degree qualified (food/agriculture)
Full clean driving license (preferred)
