Realising commercial, customer and workplace benefits from key Project initiatives across all SNAP software products and services are key outcomes required to enable the business to meet its ambitious growth plans in the coming years. The Software Project Manager will use their skills and experience to define and deliver appropriate pathways through the full software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management Framework (PMF) within an agile, product based software environment.
This is a key role for the business, driving change through the organisations and software projects in a controlled, engaging and sustainable way for both customers and employees alike. The Software Project manager shall work in collaboration with the Delivery Manager and Product Leads to ensure all aspects of project changes have been identified, impact assessed, planned, delivered and communicated. A key element of the role will be to lead in the definition of early value creation from project deliveries and ensure that benefits expected of projects are measured and delivered in line with the business case.
The role:
* Developing Project plans, resource and stakeholder management are clear, co-ordinated and visible
* Clear association of business benefits to project deliverables
* Ensure progress updates are clear, timely and communicated in a means relevant to stakeholders
* Engagement with commercial partners, service partners (sites) and fleets is authentic in the creation of plans with those actors.
* Project actors and resources are clear on what is expected of them and when
* Ensure blockages are identified, owned and removed to enable project team members to be successful
* Ensure Project plans are visible, updated and clear
* Project RAID is kept updated and actively managed and owned to enable project team success
* Ensure stakeholders are engaged and informed in line with their needs relating to project impacts and benefit
Skills & Experience
* Has quantifiable experience gained in an appropriate role, with experience in the logistics industry being advantageous.
* Is a strong communicator, comfortable in presenting complex ideas and concepts to a variety of audiences.
* Prince 2 Practitioner or other relevant project management qualification
* Ability to make complex ideas and concepts relatable to stakeholders.
* An understanding of the theory of constraints would be an advantage but not essential. A willingness to learn the theory of constraints is essential.
* Has a full, clean driving license in the designated country with the willingness to undertake extensive country-wide travel and overnight stays where required for the proper performance of the role to be carried out.
* A degree in a business or information technology related discipline or the equivalent would be advantageous but is not critical.
* Understands and can consistently apply the principles of Lean.
* Ability to lead workshops comprising all types of stakeholders and adjust material to the audience accordingly.
* Empathetic and team focused, puts the welfare of others ahead of outcome and personal ambition.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM, SharePoint and other relevant electronic digital portal proficiency.Advanced communication (written and oral) techniques used across various forums
