Siemens is creating its first UK based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground, we are starting to recruit up to 300 skilled technical and support colleagues in our Manufacturing Facility.
Soon follow-on work is expected to bring this number of trains into the hundreds, along with an expansion on the site into maintenance and overhaul activities displaying a long-term commitment to the area and growth in employment and career opportunities.
We are now looking for a Production Scheduler to support the Assembly Production Operations to ensure that an effective, efficient and reactive production schedule is in place, minimising lost production time and maximising output, based on the resources available.
You’ll make an impact by:

* Reacting to changes in resource availability to maximise productivity.
* Monitoring schedule deviations and maintaining a suitable reporting/KPI dashboard.
* Tracking production effort and reporting on significant or repeating deviations.
* Supporting the rescheduling of production to react to changes, including changes to Work Packages, changes to material availability and congestion of effort or output.
* Working with Logistics, Industrial Engineering and Commissioning Team to maintain an awareness of influences prior to and post assembly.
* Ensuring timely reporting of any notifiable delays or out-of-sequence work that may impact on the wider MF operation.
* Communicating with the Enterprise Planner to share status updates.
You’ll win us over by:
* Experience in a similar role in a manufacturing/overhaul operation.
* Expert user of Planning Systems, ERP, with a preference for SAP.
* Adept at producing relevant reports to non-specialists.
* Experience of supporting reactive change.
It would be advantageous to have:
* Rail industry manufacturing or overhaul experience.
* Current experience with MS Project understanding and knowledge of Primavera or similar.
* German Language knowledge.
You'll benefit from:
